My name is Hyungjun Lim (‘Jun’ for short), I am a physics graduate student currently working on quantum computing theory. My advisor is Prof. Robert Joynt (he likes being called ‘Bob’). I love UW Madison’s nice libraries so I spend lot of my research time in college/memorial libraries pretending to be still an undergraduate student.

I am from South Korea and attended KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) for my undergraduate study where I double majored in Mathematics and Physics.

Before coming to graduate school, I worked as a programmer for 3.5 years at systemcentroid Inc. I am personally interested in machine learning and software development. So in my part time, I took CS machine learning courses and have made iPhone appstore apps.

I had worked on high energy physics theory with Prof. Michael Ramsey-Musolf, and I am currently working with Prof. Robert Joynt on quantum computing theory.

My CV is here.
